A. It is unlawful for any person or the owner, operator or person in charge of any motor vehicle to stop, park or leave standing or to cause or to permit to be parked, stopped or left standing any motor vehicle for a greater period or length of time than two hours between the hours of eight a.m. and six p.m. during any day upon or along any of the following streets or portions thereof.

1. Cove Road on both sides of the street from Beach Road to Lagoon Road;

2. Peninsula Road on both sides of the street from Beach Road to the end of Peninsula Road; provided, however, that for the purposes of limited implementation, the initial zone shall consist of both sides of the street from Beach Road to 21/26 Peninsula Road. The remaining portion of the street may be included in the enforcement zone by resolution of the City Council;

3. Lagoon Road on the southwest side of the street from Cove Road to San Rafael Avenue;

4. Beach Road on both sides of the street from Main Street to 98 Beach Road;

5. Cove Road Place on both sides of the street from Cove Road to Cove Alley;

6. The City-owned five-vehicle parking area opposite 74 Bellevue on the southern end of Corinthian Island.

B. Exceptions to the above parking restrictions shall apply to the owner of any motor vehicle which has been issued and displays a current permit pursuant to conditions established by the City Manager allowing preferential parking in the aforementioned zones.

C. The City Manager shall cause signs to be erected and maintained indicating by legible letter, words and figures the hours prescribed for the parking limitations.

D. The City Manager shall also cause to be developed the necessary administrative procedures and forms to implement the above-mentioned preferential parking program.

E. The provisions of this Section shall not be enforceable against an alleged violator if at the time and place of the alleged violation the sign required by this Section was not in position and sufficiently legible as to be seen.
