When required by the City Manager-Police Administrator, the person doing work upon the streets or sidewalks shall file with the City Clerk a good and sufficient bond with at least two sureties, or a surety company bond, to be approved by the City Manager-Police Administrator and made payable to the City, for such sum as the City Manager-Police Administrator may direct, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the work.
